Description:

Job Purpose:
Takes a lead role in project managing and implementing sustainable solutions adopting a variety of best practices e.g. Lean, Six Sigma methodologies , Business Process Re-engineering, Kaizen, and Rapid Improvement tools used to implement efficient operational processes /solutions
Accountabilities:
Operational
Responsible to analyse for critical processes and possible bottlenecks to identify errors, changes are then simulated to find the preferred solution and finally an agreed solution the process is optimized
Presents problems clearly and is convincing in the way solutions and communicated to a variety of stakeholders
Takes a proactive approach to planning, new development are based on detailed scoping of the problem, builds a solid business case and end- user clearly understand the solution roll out plan
Measures process gaps, defines process improvements, implements process changes and controls so that the changes meet the defined business results
Develops and promotes system and data oriented approaches in order to drive objective business decisions based on facts and figures. Develop the required system metrics in order to have standard objective measurements
Actively promote continuous improvement and lean principles across Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC) through mentoring and training of staff, entertaining workshops and implement projects
Process Optimisation and Quality Management
Ensures continuous review and improvement of operational processes to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies understands the current state and moves to defining the future / desired operational models
Review risk and issues and determine proactive or corrective action as required
Manage implementation of improvement project start to implementation and periodical operational performance review
Monitor performance of key measures to identify need for intervention and/or improvements: ensure alignment of potential projects with overall objectives
Audit the quality of output and performance of implemented projects to firmly embed change
Management & Leadership
Engagement with all stakeholders (with focus on operational areas) to identify key bottlenecks, waste and opportunities for improvement
Establish the project team objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives
Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed
Oversee and supervise employees, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery
Train and develop other employees to ensure succession planning in place

Take responsibility for own going personal development and growth of expertise
Keep abreast with any market trends and developments
Operational Safety
Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant Qatar Airways QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security , quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude

Requirements:

Qualifications , Experience & Skills:
Qualifications
Essential
Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level or equivalent
Business Administration, Operational / Production Management
Preferred
Black Belt Six Sigma certification
Change management implementation
Recognised project management tools
Previous Experience
Essential
Minimum 5 years relevant experience
Operational lean change management
Has facilitated cross functional change initiatives in 300 plus size employee departments
Has experience in logistics, high volume food production, internet fulfilment centres or a similar FMCG environment
Job Specific Skills
Essential
Fluent in English, written and verbal
Full Microsoft suite experience
