We are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join our new station in Kiev. You will be responsible in processing payroll for all staff based in Ukraine. You will undertake payable functions for assigned areas of responsibilities and ensure associated accounting is accurate complete and accrual based. You will ensure that all target dates are met with timely submission of reports to Head Office and that transactions are verified and recorded in line with financial policies and procedures.

Accountabilities:

Production of payroll in accordance with QR and statutory requirements
Control and accounting of petty cash expenditure
Manage ‎Accounts Payable function
check and verify vendor invoices for rates, payment terms against purchase order and contracts
prepare invoice/payment analysis
Accounting of vendor invoices and process invoice for approvals
Payment of invoices on time
Perform vendor reconciliations on monthly basis
Create Accruals/provisions of monthly expenses
Prepare relevant balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
Prepare and request cash flow,

Requirements:

About You:

The successful candidate will ideally have:

A Bachelors’ degree in Finance/accounting
Previous job related experience – airline experience is highly desirable.
Experience of Spreadsheets and ERP systems
Knowledge of local regulations/taxes, including payroll taxes, VAT, APD as well as oracle Financial
Ability to communicate confidently with colleagues in Head Office and to work under pressure
Fluency in English language is essential to perform in this role
