Head of Flight Operations is responsible to the COO and Executive Vice President Airline Operations, and President Emirates Airline for the safe, efficient operation of Emirates aircraft, within the regulatory requirements. Head of Flight Operations is the nominated Post Holder responsible for Flight Operations. Job Outline: The development and maintenance of Flight Operations strategies and policies to achieve high standards of Flight Safety, Flight Crew Training, Technical Support, Fleet Operations, Quality and Regulatory Compliance. Establishing a departmental strategy to meet the current and planned future growth The dissemination of information concerning safety, security and operational matters, including monitoring the investigation of accidents, incidents and occurrences and the development of recommendations arising there from. The selection of suitable and properly qualified personnel to be recruited for Flight Crew and other specialised duties within the department. Effective man-management of Flight Crew to promote corporate needs and objectives, and for development of a well-briefed and highly motivated workforce. The setting of career development paths for UAE nationals The calculation, submission, and control of the Flight Operations Budget Ensuring that there are sufficient flight crew to fly the planned schedule, in the most effective and cost efficient manner. The development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems within the department to ensure: efficient use of the Company resources allocated to Flight Operations and adequate operations planning and briefing Represent the Company in all matters pertaining to Flight Operations with legal authorities within and outside the UAE, with other companies and with aircraft manufacturers. Accountable to ensure network compliance with all safety and regulatory standards for Flight Operations & Service Delivery. Enusre the maintenance of quality and compliance under the post holdership of Flight Operations covering Flight Operations, Training and Cabin Operations.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience
Flight Operations.Other : 15+ YearsMasters Degree (12+5 or equivalent) : Knowledge/Skills:

MBA/ MSC preferred, or various equivalent Senior Management courses with a major international airline
Experience in management, including five years in a senior management position in a major international airline
Previous Command Experience is essential
Have held an ATPL licence with experience on long haul flights
Exposure to glass cockpit aircraft and work on the use of them
Demonstrate a capability for dealing with the human factors in flying
A high degree of sensitivity for the cultural environment
