Description:

Responsible for managing end-to-end delivery of small to medium sized business IT projects and solutions (or work streams of larger projects or small portfolio of small projects) involving business change/transformation, senior level stakeholder management and systems integration. Ensures the successful delivery of assigned business IT projects (or work streams) by applying best practices in project, system integration and change management to achieve on time, on budget delivery of the intended business benefits. Job Outline: Perform a continuous assessment of risks and issues on assigned business IT projects and address/mitigate them to minimize impact, ensure solutions are delivered within the agreed parameters and achieve the agreed benefits. Address major 'show stopper' risks and issues through timely and accurate reporting and senior management engagement, recommending re-planning, recovery or termination of business IT projects where necessary.Be the single owner and point of accountability for end-to-end delivery of the assigned business IT project, ensuring effective planning and execution of all project lifecycle activities including (but not limited to) integrated business-IT project plan creation and maintenance, requirements gathering, solution definition, systems integration across internal and external suppliers, risks and issues management, testing, production handover, resource utilization/time management, business change activities, stakeholder management and project communications. Be responsible for financial management of the assigned business IT projects and ensure all costs incurred are effectively tracked and accurately reported to project stakeholders. Ensure all assigned business IT projects are underpinned by tangible business cases and that the value of the solutions delivered is evident. Where external suppliers are used, provide expertise in (or ensure expertise is obtained to enable) negotiating appropriate contract terms/reviewing contracts before signature to ensure supplier deliverables and commitments are comprehensively detailed, the risks inherent with different types of engagement/delivery models are addressed, and proper protection is provided for the Emirates Group. Be responsible for evaluating (or contributing toward the evaluation of) internal and external solutions and service providers to enable delivery of the most optimal IT solutions to the relevant Emirates Group business unit(s), ensuring solutions proposed, designed and implemented not only meet the business strategies and requirements but are the right solutions, integrating the relevant external products and services, internal applications, and custom development (internal or external).Drive business benefits realisation and return on IT investment by ensuring all aspects of business change and transformation relating to assigned business IT projects are effectively identified, planned and managed by or on behalf of the relevant business units throughout the lifecycle of solution delivery.Provide fair, accurate and timely feedback to line management on the performance of resources assigned to the project. Effectively manage, utilize and support assigned project resources to deliver to the best of their ability on time, budget and scope. Ensure solution testing follows a methodical approach and is coordinated with all relevant parties to ensure it is performed at all appropriate stages of the project and is conducted comprehensively, and that testing results are properly approved. Dealing with customer on the counter,qoute fare and making bookingEnsure successful (on time, on budget) delivery of assigned business IT projects through coordination with all involved parties including business stakeholders, other IT and Emirates Group departments, and external suppliers (including `off the shelf' system suppliers, service providers, offshore providers).

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)Information Technology.Other 5+ YearsKnowledge/Skills:PMP Certification or other Project or Program Management qualification (preferred)Minimum project delivery experience, of which a minimum of years involves managing business ITprojects end-to-end (initiation through business implementation) using industry standard project/program management methodologies (Note: other IT experience is considered useful in addition to but does not substitute for the above)Demonstrated experience with designing, planning and delivering business IT solutions that deliver tangible business valueCompetent in project risk and issues identification, mitigation (risks only) and management; and reliable status reportingDemonstrated experience with stakeholder management and project team management/leadershipKnowledge of project management practices, preferably holding a project management certification from a recognized professional body (such as Project Management Institute).
