Job Purpose

To efficiently manage the activities of the Emirates Holidays, within the relevant sub-regions assigned, to ensure that Emirates receives maximum exposure in these markets and to achieve sales targets by implementing pre-designed strategies and exploiting all opportunities. Job Accountability


Ensure that product, promotion plans and sales strategies are understood and implemented by the sales team, to give the greatest positive impact at all levels.

Design and implement reporting system within the sales unit, to identify strengths and weaknesses and changing market trends with minimum delay.

Design, implement and monitor sales strategies in the sub-regions assigned to ensure that the trade and the public in general are made aware of the existence, variety, competitive prices and quality of leisure products available to passengers travelling on Emirates.

Organise, control, motivate and develop the sales force, to ensure achievement of the above objectives.

Achieve/exceed leisure sales targets set for the territories, to support the planned growth of both the department and the company.

To select, train and develop sales staff to ensure that performance meets departments / company's minimum requirements.

Manage sales force to operate within approved budgets, according to management policies, aiming at maximising the usage of resources, controlling costs and increasing profitability.

Gather intelligence on competitor's activities and market trends, from the sub-regions assigned and feedback in a report format to other relevant EKH units, in order that EKH/EK can modify or refine strategies to maintain a leading position in these markets.

Filter market intelligence to identify opportunities or threats that could affect leisure sales in the relevant markets and report on these to the relevant unit managers to ensure product modification or creation is factored into actions.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
Experience

5+ years of Tour Operating/Travel Agency Sales Experience OR Commercial/Sales Tours.
Knowledge & Skills

A proven track record in sales and capable of leading a multinational team.
Must be able to work independently within present guidelines and be result oriented.
Capable of adapting to constantly changing markets and giving clear and objective direction to subordinates.
Should be highly motivated towards success.
Excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is required.
Other languages besides English
Good working knowledge of Arabic or other European languages is an advantage but not mandatory.
