dnata Travel Commercial Technology is looking for a Project Manager (PM) that will be an advanced professional in the management of projects for solution procurement and implementation. The selected candidate will serve as the liaison between the business and operations community, the technical teams and the vendors delivering the solutions selected. This person will be responsible for performing solution feasibility studies and due diligence analysis and will further be required to take part in the definition of a contract. On the other hand, it is expected that the PM will be experienced in analysing problems and defining scopes, as well as planning, executing, monitoring and closing implementation projects of different levels of complexity, managing the relations with diverse stakeholders through a predefined communications model as required.


Job Outline:

Deliver each project on time and within budget and scope


Responsible for estimates of all phases of project implementation
Support budget management including reporting and forecasting
Actively participate in project scoping and planning activities and ensure alignment between all parties
Analyse and consolidate information to develop business cases to support achievement of corporate and department business objectives
Responsible for confirming project readiness before starting a new initiative and prior to moving to the next project phase
Participate in the project review meetings and provide independent assessment on the projects' overall health and status
Participate on project steering meetings to ensure successful delivery
Liaise with other dnata Travel functions and leadership to ensure the effective and efficient project delivery
Responsible for the management of external vendors in terms of SOW and engagement requirements, ensuring all vendor management quality expectations are met or exceeded
Drive accuracy in project financial reporting , schedule, resourcing or forecasting
Provide broad IT and Project knowledge
Support the PMO office in ensuring that projects are being reported on accurately
Contribute to the development and maintenance of Project Management processes, procedures, policies, tools and methodologies
Support on-boarding of resources and coach and mentor project team members
Ensure that project management and development lifecycle process is followed and make improvements
Drive standardization and proactively recommend improvements

Requirements:

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Information Technology


The selected candidate will need to be able to interact with a variety of people within the organization and adapt their style to different personalities. Additional qualifications include:

5 plus years of IT related experience with large, global organizations. A minimum of 2 years in a leading project management role, managing medium size global teams
Certification from recognized authority preferred (e.g., project management professional PMP) for international projects or global rollouts, and experience in leading internationally distributed teams
Understanding of business analysis principles, processes and techniques
Ability to think analytically, solve problems to complex business processes, and document results
Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner across functional and technical departments
The candidate must be energetic, driven and committed to project success while working under tight time constraints and pressure
Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office.
