Reports to: Senior Web Development

The innovation centre is a newly established team within Cathay Pacific's IT division. The team will focus on researching, introducing and delivering new technologies into Cathay Pacific's business and IT environment, with initial focus on web and mobile solutions.

Team will focus on two major areas 1) Designing, building and delivering B2C, B2E and B2B web applications/interfaces 2) Prototyping web applications / interfaces

As a web developer you will work with a very energetic team to design, build,test and deploy web applications/interfaces and prototypes using Agile methodologies.

Key responsibilites:

Designing, building, testing and deploying web interfaces/applications and/or prototype following best practices
Execute against project plans and delivery commitments
Work closely with team to develop the best technical design and approach
Work closely with UX Designer for wireframes and mockups
Design and define the interactions between various systems or components
Execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts

Requirements:

•Minimum 6 years of professional experience in software development, of which 2-5 years involved in web development using Agile/Scrum methodology
•Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical disciplines
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, team player
•Experience in HTML5, CSS 3 and cross browser integration.
•Familiar with responsive and adaptive web design
•Familiarity with content management systems siuch as Adobe CQ5.
•Experience in SOA (REST,JSON), as well as Java, JavaScript and JQuery programming skills
•Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operation
