Reports to: Senior Mobile Developer

The innovation centre is a newly established team within Cathay Pacific's IT division. The team will focus on researching, introducing and delivering new technologies into Cathay Pacific's business and IT environment, with initial focus on web and mobile solutions.

Team will focus on two major areas 1) Designing, building and delivering B2C, B2E and B2B mobile applications 2) Prototyping mobile applications.

As mobile developer you will work with a very energetic team to design, build,test and deploy mobile applications and prototypes using Agile methodologies.

Key responsibilites:

Designing, building, testing and deploying mobile application and/or prototype following best practices
Execute against project plans and delivery commitments
Work closely with team to develop the best technical design and approach
Work closely with UX Designer for wireframes and mockups
Design and define the interactions between various systems or components
Execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in mobile software development using Agile methdologies
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education qualifications) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; team player
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with common mobile platforms such as iOS, Android, and mobile web, as well as SOA
Experience in Java, JavaScript, and JQuery programming skills
Experience in cross platform mobile app development to cater to iOS & Android
Experience with HTML5 and CSS3 desired
Experience in cross compiling application development platforms such as Kony (preferred, however not a must)
Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications (prefered, however not a must)
