We are looking for a high calibre individual to join our Finance Department on the Horizon Project, a corporate-wide initiative to modernise the way Cathay performs its finance and procurement activities, including the replacement of the legacy finance technology platform and building new capability in both functions through the implementation of redesigned operating models for the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process and other transactional services.

As part of the Project Horizon team, the Finance Manager – Procure-to-Pay plays a key role in working with other members of the Senior Finance Leadership team to lead and spearhead initiatives of building a leading P2P practice for Cathay.

Reporting to the Manager Shared Services, the primary responsibility of the role is to build and then lead the team delivering P2P transactional services in an effective and efficient manner to support Cathay, key accountabilities include:
•Deliver day-to-day P2P transactional services for Cathay in an effective and efficient manner which include manage, prepare, administer, and direct the accounting close and financial reporting process relating to accounts payable, review and approve accounting transactions and account reconciliations, maintain ledger integrity and ensures financial compliance with Cathay’s policies and procedures
•Work with the team to develop, implement and govern appropriate P2P policies to ensure transactions are reported with integrity
•Ongoing design and implement future P2P processes and work-flows to fulfil the P2P Organisation broad set of accountabilities as well as building and implementing the transition plan from the current organisation
•Support the building of the Finance Shared Service Center supporting Cathay through the design of the P2P road map
•Establish and execute a set of P2P performance measures (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to achieve appropriate service quality for all stakeholders to ensure the P2P team delivers service of quality and accuracy, improves process productivity to leverage scale and to champion processing cost efficiency throughout the organisation
•Provide and promote a working environment to stimulate team member performance
•Ensure the P2P team has the appropriate learning and development programmes to close capability gaps as the Centre evolves; in particular with the adoption of automated P2P processes

Requirements:

•Degree in accounting or business related disciplines with professional accounting qualification such as CPA or equivalent designation
•Minimum 10 years experience of broad Finance experience in a Corporate environment
•Extensive operational P2P experience in a Finance Shared Service Centre environment
•Strong experience in specific P2P Skills Sets (Category Management, Source to Contract, AP, Contract Life Cycle Management)
•Strong understanding of the technology landscape of the various solutions in P2P functions in ERP; ability to leverage technology to enable transformational process changes
•Experience of designing and implementing SLA’s and KPIs and service quality would be an advantage
•A history of excellent interpersonal and customer interaction skills to include communications, presentation and conflict resolution
•Proven Project Management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
•Ability to resolve issues and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
•Fluency in English required; fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin would be a plus
