PRICING EXECUTIVE (TEMPORARY POSITION)

This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave

Seek revenue opportunities through positioning of EK pricing in the market and innovative pricing solutions which benefit the business. Ensure speed to market requirements. Participate and contribute on process improvements, pricing and fares strategies and pricing initiatives.


1. Perform daily checks to monitor and analyse the positioning of EK fares within the market, using all pricing, web tools and GDS to maximise business knowledge and develop new opportunities.


2. Proactively review market intelligence including competitors’ frequency, capacity changes, new routes and fare base making recommendations for action.


3. Monitor agents in implementing any price changes in the market and report on outcomes (cost/benefit) to the business.


4. Assist in maintaining optimum tariffs in the Australian market to enable the sales force to achieve revenue targets in accordance with the company’s commercial objectives for the benefit of EK.


5. Initiate and foster strong working relationships with all key customers to achieve the best outcome for pricing. Understand customer needs and provide effective solutions which solve problem areas and provide benefit for all aspects of the business.


6. Process the application in the Airfare system and create the tariff within 24 hours after Dubai provides approval. Always providing any supporting documentation.


7. Maintain accurate records for Pricing. Including tariff notices, Distribution lists, Historical fare data, and Initiatives spreadsheets. Eg Sales toolkit.


8. Demonstrate positive attitude towards change of business processes. Ensure work is collaborative to maintain consistency in pricing.


9. Ensure that all associated tasks and responsibilities comply with relevant and regulatory and quality requirements and Company policies and standards.

Requirements:

Educated to a minimum of Higher School level or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Tariffs and Fares and Ticketing.

• Preference for Certificate IV in Tourism.

• High level of analytical and problem solving skills.

• Excellent PC skills including MS Word and MS Excel.

• Detailed knowledge of fare construction, fare rules, ticketing and prorates.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail processing tariffs.

• Sound organisational skills with the ability to arrange conflicting tasks in order to meet deadlines.

• Self motivated with the desire to take ownership of work and be accountable for results.

• Good customer service skills and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to analyse data and prepare reports, covering market share and trends.

• Must be able to work on own initiative.

• Previous experience in sales or a sales support role.

Preferred Additional Qualification
Must have the legal right to work and live in Australia. The company will not provide or assist with obtaining work permits.
