We are looking for a high calibre individual to join and help with the Horizon Project, a corporate-wide initiative to modernise the way Cathay performs its finance and procurement activities, including the replacement of the legacy finance technology platform, this includes the replacement of the existing finance systems with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The project is critical to Cathay’s future success as it will ensure that finance and procurement have the capability to effectively and efficiently support the growing business on a sustainable basis.

As our Procurement Manager (ERP) – Horizon, you will take the role as an ERP project manager and work closely with the current procurement Horizon team

Responsibilities:
•Manage the development of the procurement related statement of work with the chosen supplier in alignment with the wider ERP programme
•Develop a clear understanding of the approach and timelines of delivery that is agreed with all stakeholders
•Develop a clear understanding of all dependencies and requirements from Cathay Pacific procurement team and ensure that these dependencies are integrated into the procurement teams plans
•Ensure that all business dependencies are delivered in alignment with the agreed plan and that the ERP solution implementation is not delayed or prevented through lack of input data
•Act as the Procurement lead for solution design, UAT, training and business readiness.
•Ensure that there is no scope creep during planning or early implementation that will ensure that there is no increase in cost
•Support the management of the supplier and ensure appropriate performance across the procurement related work-streams
•Become the ‘Lead Super User’ for the solution, managing all super user requirements of training and implementation.
•Define and train super users across the business to embed the implementation of the new solution
•Support the ongoing implementation of the solution in accordance with the agreed statement of work
•Ensure that the solution is aligned to current and future procurement strategies

Requirements:

Job Requirements :

•Degree holder preferably in Business Studies, Procurement or related disciplines.
•Minimum 8 years relevant procurement experience.
•Detailed knowledge of best practice procurement processes.
•Prior experience of technology implementation in support of procurement transformation.
•Experience in using technology to support the procurement process. (e.g. development of events, specifications and evaluation processes within the system)
•Detailed knowledge and prior experience of project and programme management
•Good understanding of CX procurement processes will be an advantage.
•Good engagement and stakeholder management skills.
•Prior experience of supplier management.
•Fluency in English required; fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin would be a plus

Headcount subject to ECC approval.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
