This position is within Food Point’s Business Development Department and reports to the Product Development Chef


Job Outlines •Consistently develop new and innovative products and meal components.
•Support in problem solving situations in regard to food production and equipment performance.
•Able to work under time related pressure so as to meet new product development deadlines.
•Consistent participation in new development and implementation of any product.
•Assist with all Food Point presentations and client workshops.
•Involvement in continual improvement of existing meals and meal components.
•Maintain all levels of hygiene and work safety regulations as per Food Point procedures.
•Participate in up-scaling of all new products and integrate them into the manufacturing facility.
•Participate in the design, development and launch of new or improved products
•Comply with the Company Occupational Health & Safety Policy.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

•Diploma in Hotel / Catering Management or equivalent qualification.
•Experience in a 5 star kitchen with demonstrated hands on experience in a variety of sections.
•Must demonstrate a high level of creativity
•High standards of verbal and written communication in English.
•Ability to work and perform under significant pressure.
•A professional manner with the ability to meet targets and achieve results.
•Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
•Demonstrated ability to maintain constructive relationships with others.


The Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess •Innovative ideas and solutions to daily processes.
•Airline catering experience is useful.
•Acts as a role model and provides effective behavioural examples in order to motivate team members to achieve high levels of performance.
•Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
•High level of commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to change.
