This position is within the Technical Department in Food Point. The position reports to the Senior Technical Manager


Job Outlines •Leads and promotes a positive, safe working culture within the Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Team through the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
•Guide the FSQA Team in the standards expected and monitor the performance of the team to ensure that the Quality Assurance and Technical function of the business is operating at its most efficient and effective
•Train and develop production staff on food safety and food quality to equip them to maintain food safety standards within the Operations Department
•Provide regular Quality Assurance reports to enable corrective actions as appropriate and to illustrate the effectiveness of the company’s food safety and food quality control measures
•Investigate and coordinate the resolution of food safety and food quality concerns including customer complaints to ensure appropriate food safety and food quality standards
•Responsible for promotion and maintenance of Good Manufacturing Processes and Good Housekeeping Practices throughout the facility, ensuring that hazard analysis leads to continuous improvement in food safety and that HACCP documentation is maintained and available for verification
•Coordinate with the company’s pest control provider as appropriate to ensure effective liaison and pest control within Food Point
•Oversee and manage the customer complaint investigation and response process, ensuring the FS QA team respond to all customer complaints in a timely manner, with documented corrective actions, maintaining customer confidence

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

•Bachelor’s Degree in a food science related subject
•Advanced Food Hygiene Training
•Minimum 4 years’ food manufacturing related background
•Minimum 4 years’ experience in a food hygiene related position
•Good standards of verbal and written communication in English.
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and at all levels and team based approach including ability to positively manage conflict
•In depth knowledge and understanding of physic-chemical analysis.
•Has up to date knowledge and experience of food safety and hygiene requirements and application within high production volume and highly changeable food manufacturing industries.
•Report writing skills
•Proficient in the use of IT systems, especially MS Office
