Job Purpose

To support VP Commercial in all areas, including market research, analysis and sales as well as developing, planning, and monitoring of projects and events across all of the catering businesses. Administrating the group Customer Relationship Management database and coordinating all group tendering activity.

Job Accountabilities

Supporting VP Commercial with business development activity such as corporate events, collateral (brochures, newsletters, gifts etc.) and branding, working closely with the Corporate Communications Account Manager to prepare briefs, annual and quarterly plans and help develop a Corporate Communications strategy.
Work with the managers at the overseas businesses of dnata International Catering in order that commercial and business development activity is undertaken in an integrated and unified manner.
Assist overseas managers and VP Commercial in developing tender proposals ensuring all information is collated and presented in the most appropriate manner for the customer
Conduct market research and analysis on airports, airlines, volumes, potential revenues, etc. in the areas that dnata International Catering operates to better understand the markets and contribute to the identification and targeting of new business.
Work with dnata International Airport Operations commercial teams to implement an integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system that will enable dnata International Catering to build and maintain important data on its key customers and markets. Also establish an effective communication process with key customers to ensure account potential is maximized across the dnata overseas businesses, in a coordinated and consistent manner.
Establish effective working relationships with overseas colleagues and interface with the rest of dnata to ensure business development and commercial opportunities are identified and acted upon as effectively as possible. Work in an integrated manner with the Manager (s) – dnata International Catering to meet the objectives of the department.
As required, contribute to the evaluation of new business opportunities, which will include organising and attending presentations overseas.
Establish a regular report on all business development activities in the catering group interfacing with all group companies to ensure information is submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
Be the primary external contact person for the dnata International Catering business, filtering all enquiries and ensuring they are allocated to the correct people within the group.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications/Experience

Degree of Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
5 years business experience with a commercial or finance background
1-2 years experience in a business unit/function understanding key business drivers and challenges
Ability to influence people at all levels, including through presentations and written communications
An understanding and knowledge of the flight catering industry is an advantage
