About the job
The purpose of this role is to be the Certifying Engineer with an A318 VVIP operator based in the UAE (Sharjah). This Engineer will be directly responsible for all of the maintenance activity on the aircraft and work very closely with the Chief Pilot and the Owner. The Engineer will be employed by AirArabia and seconded to the Operator indefinitely. The requirement will be to accompany the aircraft as and when it is operating globally, maybe at short notice.



Key responsibilities:

Carry out maintenance on the aircraft whilst maintaining NAA and Operator and Company (AirArabia) standards
Regularly monitor the aircraft defect status sheet and defects are cleared during maintenance without causing operation delay whilst adhering to the required standard
Carry out routine and non-routine tasks without causing input delay beyond the allocated ground time for the check or maintenance required
Update the Operator of any issues that arise which can be of concern or could result in operational disruption or a decrease in acceptable service standards.
Carry out technical projects / tasks as directed

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

Holder of a valid UAE GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or EASA license with recent experience of (6) months within last 2 years and with A318/CFM56 and A320/CFM56-5 type rating endorsed on license. B1 must be unrestricted. B1/B2 is preferred.
Minimum of 6 years in aviation maintenance out of which 2 years as A318 and A320 certifying engineer without any limitation/ restrictions (issuing CRS).
Excellent English communication skills
PC literate
Willing to work globally and have the pre-requisite flexibility demanded by Business Operators.
