Videographer



Reporting to the Creative Lead, Creative Services, the Photo/Videographer will support business objectives and help to instill the WestJet culture by producing creative audio and visual materials that effectively communicate with both internal and external audiences.



Description:

Produce high-end videos (roughly 30-40 per year) from concept to completion for internal and external projects such as destination videos, profit share videos, leadership summit, culture connections, orientation, training, day-in-the-life videos, and others as requested by internal stakeholders. Pre-production responsibilities include but are not limited to; brainstorming, scripting, storyboarding, pitching, planning, scheduling. Production responsibilities include but are not limited to, props, wardrobe, lighting, shooting, directing.
Produce high-end photographs from concept to completion for internal and external projects such as JetLines, Up! magazine, training courses, Westnet, advertising, WestJet.com, culture projects, digital signage, event collateral, annual report, EVP and VP headshots, team photos, and other internal communications. Production responsibilities include but are not limited to brainstorming, pitching, planning, scheduling, props, wardrobe, lighting, shooting, directing, processing, exporting, and touchups.
Organize, and coordinate audio/visual assets such as photos, footage, and audio files within the guidelines of the Creative Services network and folder structures.
Organize, and coordinate the WestJet Studio and audio/visual equipment ensuring that these facilities and any audio/visual equipment are optimally maintained as per the Creative Lead.
Develop creative solutions to meet business and communication objectives, from concept to completion.
Work closely with internal groups to establish and maintain working processes that meet their needs in a cost and time efficient manner.
Use a critical eye and ear to ensure WestJet brand, tone and culture standards are met throughout all materials.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of video camera operation and digital SLR operation
Knowledge of Sony FS100 and Canon 5D Mark III cameras considered an asset
Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of studio and on-location lighting concepts
Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of studio and on-location audio capture techniques
Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of live event coverage, including audio and video
Demonstrated intermediate experience with the latest version of Adobe Photoshop
Demonstrated knowledge of the entire video production process, from pre-production to post
Proficient with both Windows and Apple operating systems
Excellent time management skills
Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
Ability to qualify for a RAIC pass
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of the NLE software - (Premiere Pro, After Effects) considered an asset
Knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite programs considered an asset
Previous airline experience would be considered an asset
French language proficiency considered an asset
