Are you looking for a role that will reward you and develop your technical skills? Your new position as a LAME Mechanical within QantasLink will see you performing aircraft maintenance and servicing. This role will require someone with the ability to provide flexibility within a highly customer focused environment whilst providing a premium service.

You will be responsible for:

Participating as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of LAME's that will carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with Qantaslink safety standards, procedures and the Civil Aviation Regulations;
Performing and certifying maintenance tasks as directed in accordance with the Qantaslink Maintenance Control Manuals, Aircraft and Component Maintenance Manuals and the Qantaslink Procedures Manuals;
Liaise with Maintenance Watch whilst rectifications are being performed. This includes providing accurate time estimates for rectifications and regular updates as time frames are revised;
Assessing aircraft defects and defer as applicable;
Routine maintenance and servicing of ground support equipment. Report all u/s equipment and arrange rectifications;
Ordering of aircraft components when stock levels are not sufficient to carry out maintenance; and
Ensuring that maintenance of aircraft is carried out in accordance with the production schedules developed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will have:

A current CASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence on either Dash 8 100/200/300/Q400 or a Group 20/21 aircraft in the Mechanical category/ B1;
Aircraft servicing experience on various aircraft in a line maintenance environment;
Commitment to being a highly customer-focused team worker with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required;
Sound communications skills, both written and verbal with highly developed attention to detail;
The ability to work well under a high level of pressure with minimal supervision and a 'can do attitude' and be highly self-motivated;
Prepared to step-up to more senior roles at short notice when required;
Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC);
Thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance procedures;
Ability to work 7 day, 24 hour shift work; and
Clear understanding of the importance of on time performance to the airline.
