Description:

SAMS (Stansted Aircraft Maintenance Systems) are currently hiring for a Materials Operations Manager to be based in Ryanairs hangar facility in Stansted, working in cooperation with our client airline Ryanair, Europe's number one low fares airline.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody to gain experience in Europes leading airline. The successful candidate will be responsible responsible for managing Ryanairs Materials Stores Operations at Stansted.

Ryanair is Europe’s favourite airline, operating more than 1,600 daily flights from 72 bases, connecting 189 destinations in 30 countries and operating a fleet of more than 300 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Ryanair has recently announced firm orders for a further 280 new Boeing 737 aircraft, as well as options for 100 more Boeing 737 MAX 200s, which will enable Ryanair to lower fares and grow traffic from 90m this year to 160m p.a. in 2024. Ryanair currently has a team of more than 9,500 highly skilled aviation professionals, and has an industry leading 30-year safety record.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Monitoring and controlling of costs associated with all Material/Stores transactions at Stansted
Managing the AMOS computer system to ensure that all parts including spare parts and unserviceable items are controlled accurately.
Managing the staff shift roster and training requirements
Monitoring of delivery dates and times of incoming spares for aircraft on the line and on check.
Managing all component removals and installations that occur while aircraft are in Stansted.
Managing all parts coming from our outstations to Stansted.
Managing spare part movements to ensure that robberies, loans and exchanges are completed correctly.
Ensuring that components move quickly and efficiently through the system.
Managing all freight movements and costs throughout the network from Stansted.
Having responsibility for all administration in relation to our Stores/ Distribution Centre at Stansted.
Accomplish other such duties as may be reasonably directed by Management

Requirements:

Managerial experience essential with a proven track record.
Be highly organised and have the ability to handle a wide variety of tasks in a highly pressurised environment.
Experience in negotiating at senior level.
Excellent numerical ability and contract experience.
The ability to work on own initiative
A mature sense of judgement
Proven computer skills and be an effective communicator
