Position: Skilled Aircraft Fitter
/ Location: Farnborough, UK
/ Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 dependent on experience


/ Job Information:

Gama Aviation Engineering Limited, part of a global organisation offering a range of services for both defence and civil aircraft projects have an opportunity for a Skilled Fitter to join our successful team. All applicants will have experience of working in an EASA Part 145 Base/Line maintenance environment and have worked primarily on the Beechcraft King Air Series and Piston Engine products. Additional experience working with Turbo Props is an advantage. This role is based at our Farnborough Airport facility in Hampshire and is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to become a valued member of a strong team, within a successful, progressive and expanding company.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Component removal for inspection
Component refit and testing
Component removal for defects such as wheels, brakes, landing gear doors, shock absorbers, air conditioning components, engine and APU components, flying control surfaces and servo controls
Large item replacements such as windscreens, engines and APU’s
System replenishments e.g. engine oil, hydraulics, nitrogen, water
Sheet metal repairs
Aircraft Jacking
Successful applicants will perform defect rectification and routine servicing as directed by a Certifying Licenced Engineer or Shift Supervisor. All personnel will work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and Tool Control policies and candidates must be able to demonstrate current knowledge of airworthiness requirements.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

All applicants must have served a recognised apprenticeship and be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance environment. Original paperwork must be able to be provided and verified along with references to cover the last 5 years. Candidates must provide the following documentation in order to be considered for these roles:

Current up to date cv
Proof of right to work in the UK (Passport etc)
Human Factors – Initial & Current
Fuel Tank Safety 1 & 2
Proof of Apprenticeship

We are offering an immediate start and the working hours are Monday to Friday 08.00 am – 5.00 pm.
