FUNCTION: Reporting to the Vice President, Information Systems and Technology, the Director, Data Warehouse is to enable Porter Airlines to harness the power of its data to drive business value and increase revenue. This role will provide tactical data solutions in the short term, while simultaneously driving toward a strategic integrated Enterprise Data Warehouse implementation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads Porter’s Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DW) Technology roadmap and project prioritization. Partners with business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Leads a team of analysts and developers to design, build, test and deploy BIand DW Technology solutions. Partners with business stakeholders toensure solutions meet business needs.
Designs and maintains the Porter BI and DW environment and governance best practices to ensure reliability and usability.
Develops effective relationships with Porter’s business stakeholders. Working with stakeholders, identifies and exploits opportunities to use data to drive business value.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another related field
1-3 years experience with hand-coding sophisticated SQL DDL and DML queries, with emphasis on TSQL
1-3 years experience creating and maintaining database schemas in a Microsoft SQL Server or Amazon RedShift environment
1-3 years experience with reporting services and business intelligence tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, Excel, SalesForce, Tableau, etc.
Aviation industry experience, with preference given to those who have experience with the Navitaire NewSkies Reservation System
