To help achieve our objectives and to cope with our rapid fleet and business expansion, we are inviting high calibre individuals with a strong and solid aviation technical background to join our renowned Hong Kong based Engineering Team

The Line Maintenance Operations Section within our Engineering Department provides technical support to flight crew members and ground engineers in Hong Kong and around our network to ensure smooth operation of Cathay Pacific, Dragonair and airHongKong fleets.

As a Maintenance Controller, you will work in our Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) which operates 24hours/7days. We are now inviting high-caliber individuals to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively monitor and manage the CX and group airlines technical operation from within the IOC to ensure safety and operational integrity is maintained
Identify aircraft defects that are affecting the operation and formulate plans to ensure timely rectification
Provide instant technical assistance and direction to flight crew and engineers network-wide
Identify recurring defects and trends and construct rectification plans with the responsible departments
Liaise with Technical Services support groups and our MRO for efficient service recovery of aircraft in planned maintenance
Act as the AOG coordinator to drive AOG recovery, both in Hong Kong and outstations, with Cathay and third party manpower as appropriate
Formulate and implement plans for service recovery to avoid technical delays
Represent Maintenance Support interests with other departments, aircraft manufacturers and other suppliers
Delegate tasks to Engineering sections and provide support where required

Requirements:

Job Requirements :

HKAR 66 B1.1 or B2 license holder or other valid engineering license (Airframe/engine or Avionics) acceptable to the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department
Minimum of 3.5 years of line maintenance experience as a licensed aircraft engineer with broad exposure in defect trouble shooting on at least 2 of the following aircraft types B777, A330/340, A320, B747-8F, B747-400, A300-600
Proven experience in an operational, line maintenance or maintenance control environment
Sound analytical & problem solving skills
Self motivated, proactive, able to work / resolve issues independently and make sound decision under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate with all levels of parties throughout the organization, both internal and external
Good command of spoken and written English
Willing to work on 12-hour shift patterns and perform overnight duty
Willingness to work with different cultures and adapt to varying working conditions
