The Account Steering Expert initiates sales activities based on analysis and evaluation of customer portfolios and account performance. She / he enables the Account Management to optimize her/his sales activities / solutions by steering visits and preparing sales presentations accordingly.

Dependent on the assignment focus the tasks include the following:

Steering and monitoring:

Develop account management activities, based on monthly analysis and evaluation of account management portfolios and their possible revenue potentials
In close collaboration with the account management weekly planning and optimization of customer visits / calls based on revenue performance and future trends identified by and with relevant New York Sales / New York District Sales units
Compile and coordinate sales visit preparation kits (analysis, key points and follow-up items) for the Account Manager
Identification of sales based opportunities and threats by competition monitoring (frequency and capacity)
Ensure a seamless cooperation with Sales Steering Experts (as interface to central units)
Ensure quality of agent / corporate reference data in the relevant Lufthansa / Lufthansa Group sales tool and update of customer profiles in Customer Relationship Management system
Forward sales leads to New Business and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises management
Customer-specific reporting for New York Sales
Ensure flow of information to all relevant Lufthansa / Lufthansa Group departments

Contracting:

Regular analysis and evaluation of customer account performance (corporate / Small and Medium-sized Enterprises accounts and travel agencies / travel management company) as a basis for yearly contract planning
Comprehensive preparation of contract and tactical incentive proposals (including individual quotations and ‘Outside Bandwidth Requests’) in cooperation with the Account Management
Regularly evaluate incentive contract ROI (base contract and push actions) in order to enhance effectiveness
Participate in other duties as assigned

Local / Regional Specifics (maximum 3):

Prepare the calculation of Lufthansa Group backend settlements and quality check the Joint Venture backend settlement calculations

Requirements:

Your profile

High school certificate, A level / Abitur or equivalent required
Degree: Bachelor desirable
Professional Experience desirable
Language: English required, German desirable
Expert knowledge desirable
Expert Computer proficiency

Other:

Must possess permit to work in the country assigned
