The Role

Your new position as Group Sales Consultant will see working within a dynamic team environment, where you will be assisting clients with managing their group bookings needs. Located within Group Sales Australia, you will be working in close collaboration with other teams to ensure that customers are receiving exceptional service and up-selling products where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating within a large and dynamic team environment;
Handling enquiries from customers who wish to organise a group booking for more than 10 people;
Effectively use qantasgrouptravel.com to manage customer enquires;
Liaising and negotiating internally and with other airlines in order to support the sale of Group travel on Qantas;
Using every opportunity to build and maintain strong client relations through the provision of excellent customer service resulting in a loyal client base;
Coordinating and developing detailed and accurate itineraries for your customers; and
Continually developing your professional skills by utilising various resources available to you in Qantas.

Requirements:

Key Requirements:

A minimum educational level of Higher School Certificate or equivalent;
Previous experience in Sales and Customer Service, ideally within a call centre, travel centre / agency or airport / airline environment;
Certification in Fares and Ticketing I and II will be highly regarded, although not essential;
Great attention to detail;
Self-motivated and ability to work effectively as part of a team;
Knowledge of Amadeus reservations and ticketing will be highly regarded, although not essential; and
Highly developed consultation, negotiation and cost awareness skills, coupled with a service focused attitude.
