The Group Business Account Manager is responsible for leading a team of 13 staff, all who have a diverse capability across digital media planning, buying and optimising; data, analytics and insights with a specific focus on database/direct marketing. The role is intended to bring a high level of strategic expertise and thought leadership in the digital media and marketing arena to the Qantas Group of businesses.

This role will see you partner with the Qantas Airline marketing teams to manage and deliver cross-complementary digital media strategy recommendations, digital media planning and buying, and a sophisticated level of analytics to drive insights and performance outcomes across all relevant Qantas businesses. As well as being a key lead on delivery, the overwhelming driver to succeed in this position will be to act as a change agent in order to link all stakeholders across the Qantas business to drive the best outcome for the Qantas group as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the drive to consolidate and improve data driven operations across Qantas Group Marketing teams
Engage stakeholders as well as develop and agree processes that incorporate all relevant parties
Manage, oversee and operate all Digital Media Services capability, supporting activities around the operating methodology, practices, execution and governance
Establish a robust capability to deliver high volume complex data driven target marketing
Develop frameworks to guide the use of Qantas Loyalty’s key data assets to ensure a material competitive advantage is created and sustained
Develop and operate campaign planning, buying and implementation across diverse inventory sources
Monitor campaign performance, ensuring campaigns are optimised and provide recommendations for improvement
Run pre and post campaign reporting and communicate insights and results to stakeholders
Work with internal analytics team to deliver insights into attribution including the development of re-targeting and campaign optimisation
Ensure that Red Planet’s media services are using best in class approaches in adopting new technologies into its operations
Assist in the development of new processes that ensures that media services consistently display the right ad to the right target audience
Ensure that all tasks and responsibilities comply and conform with relevant regulatory and quality requirements.

Requirements:

Key Requirements:

Deep understanding of building and delivery capability in the digital advertising space with a minimum 10 years experience in relevant role, e.g. search marketing/performance, background at agency desk, consumer data segmentation
Proven demonstrable success and experience in the understanding and use of technologies associated with targeted digital advertising
Relevant degree, preferably with a mix of business management and marketing
Strong knowledge of search and digital campaign management tools
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated aptitude for campaign reporting and insights
Ability to distil data into insights and action point recommendations
Capability to deliver creative and innovative solutions to business challenges
Strong communication skills, with an ability to manage stakeholders of varying levels.
