Location/Base : Los Angeles, California

Reports To : Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Americas





Key Responsibilities:

· Successfully manage a sales team (Los Angeles based and remotely based – San Diego, Dallas, Houston) and an online office.

· Generate revenue to target through the sales team within approved budget.

· Maintain and develop new and existing accounts, especially in corporate business.

· Work closely with Revenue Management Unit to develop a plan to maximize revenue generation throughout the year.

· Effectively communicate with the Marketing team to launch the new route successfully, develop market opportunities and actively increase our Frequent Flyer database.

· Develop regional sales and marketing plans that achieve revenue objectives through the effective utilization of manpower and budgetary resources.

· Participate to the yearly Revenue Budget, Overhead & Routes Budget and to the strategy of the USA Sales & Marketing Action Plan.

· Plan, develop and promote the sale of passenger traffic in all market, especially corporate business, within the assigned territory.

· Design Corporate deals towards needs of particular companies.

· Develop, promote and service the sale of tickets by travel agents, tour wholesalers, commercial accounts and organization through systematically planned personal contact, telephone calls and correspondence.

· Negotiate and manage business partnerships with key executive decision-makers and supplier relations that are mutually beneficial to both the account and Cathay Pacific.

· Create and execute a comprehensive business plan that is designed specifically for each account that drives incremental high yielding revenue and positive share for each account.

· Work closely with the local Cargo Manager & Airport Services Manager to maximize the route contribution of LAX-HKG

· Represent Cathay Pacific at various official events and generally acts as the main Cathay Pacific representative throughout Southwest USA.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

· Demonstrated leadership and experience in leading and managing a team of staff.

· Strong knowledge of the international airline industry and market, and risk taking abilities.

· Strong experience and knowledge in corporate sales.

· Reputation for producing results and consistently meeting or exceeding business goals.

· Superior problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.

· Superior interpersonal and communication skills.

· Good computer knowledge.
