Manage and Develop the SME Segment for Qantas

As the National Manager SME your work will see you use a range of initiatives to drive and improve revenue within the SME market. This position will be responsible for an extensive portfolio of customers and the supplier who works to support the segment for Qantas.



With multiple touch points across Qantas, we are looking for an individual with strong stakeholder management who also has the ability to see the bigger picture whilst creating and implementing strategies that will keep the business ahead of its competitors



Your main responsibilities will include:

Manage the agreed components of the SME budget with a focus on revenue generation.
Develop, monitor and recommend changes to the sales plans to ensure revenue objectives are met.
Manage the supplier contract for provision of shared sales services, including SME sales, for Customer and Commercial Relationships
Develop innovative strategic options to meet the objective of growing Qantas sales
Develop, monitor and continuously improve the sales plans to ensure revenue objectives are met
Design, develop and implement strategies to improve market intelligence and track the size and Qantas share of the SME segment
Collaborate with other key stakeholders in building the segment strategy
Manage the implementation of agreed sales strategies and marketing activity for the segment, supporting the product portfolio
Identify and manage key issues that arise from projects which will impact the SME segment
Liaise with Qantas counterparts to ensure effective flow of communication and delivery of the right solutions to enable commercial success
Manage partner relationships agreeing joint marketing and development plans
Liaise with counterparts to ensure effective flow of communication to our customers
Manage the collection of segment intelligence and analysis of business activity and economical developments

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

Business degree or equivalent
Experience of combining both tactical/operational and strategic priorities
Experience with dealing in a complex business environment and engaging, negotiating with, and influencing stakeholders at an executive level
Proven ability to plan and manage to financial budgets and performance targets
Proven ability to develop strategic plans focused on improving performance of both the operation and people
Experience and understanding of commercial priorities to optimise performance
Proven experience in developing and implementing work practices with underlying continuous improvement philosophy.
Demonstrated ability to provide direction, lead, manage, motivate and support a team to meet objectives and experience in building a strong service culture.
Proven analytical/problem solving skills
Exceptional communication, networking, negotiating, influencing, engaging skills - all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Sound understanding of the airline business with experience in both commercial and sales environment
Strong collaborative approach amongst relevant areas in solving issues
Outstanding interpersonal & influencing skills for dealing with people at all levels of the organisation
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines
