As a Business Support Coordinator, your work will see you working closely with a team dedicated to the efficient handling of Import and Export freight to meet customer expectations. Located within the Freight division your role is focused on developing strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to enhance business growth and development.


Your main responsibilities will include:

Providing one-on-one executive administrative support to the Regional Terminals Manager NSW/ACT and the Regional Business Managers NSW/ACT
Be responsible for the processing of Accounts for the NSW/ACT Region
Assisting in the development of customer and stakeholder relationships
Identifying improvement opportunities and supporting improvement initiatives including working with all staff to drive and implement change and reviews of current local standard operating procedures
Contributing to business improvement projects
Developing and fostering a strong working relationship within Qantas including: Qantas Procurement, Commercial, Property & Facilities etc.
Developing and fostering a strong working relationship with Australian Customs and other contracted parties
Assisting with the internal and external audit programs within the Terminal as required and provide advice to support senior operational roles in risk management

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

Proven written and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organisation including senior management
Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate and consolidate input from multiple sources, prioritise and meet deadlines
Experience with project management and developing standards and procedures
Ability to maintain confidentiality, previous experience as an personal or executive assistant preferred
Working experience with PC applications including MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
Highly self motivated, positive and professional attitude
Ability to act on initiative with limited supervision and also able to work as a team member
