Your new role as Manager Workforce Planning, will see you responsible for the management of the resource planning, pattern planning and roster allocations for both QantasLink and Jetconnect flight and cabin crew.

Leading the development of best practice planning and resource processes, this role will have a strategic focus and will be required to drive optimisation to ensuring maximum operational efficiency.


Your main responsibilities will include:

•Develop and implement strategic plan to optimise flight and cabin crew resources including IT solutions for Regionals and Jetconnect
•Manage crew planning to ensure adequate work force planning for planned commercial and network capacity
•Ensure pattern construction and allocation procedures are documented and standard of work complies with all Industrial Agreements
•Develop road map for best practice workforce planning including transformational initiatives
•Provide strategic input to 3 year plan for International and Domestic Workforce Planning team
•Management oversight of the development and control of the crew planning system
•Oversee resource planning and engaging with stakeholders to understand business requirements and prioritise initiatives
•Demonstrating an optimised approach from resource and pattern planning through to roster development
•Delivering rosters to stakeholders within agreed timeframes, including proper resourcing of flying operations
•Leading a team of workforce planners, including team members in remote locations

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

•Extensive experience in manpower forecasting and planning, particularly crew planning
•Strong influencing and negotiating skills that can be used at all levels of an organisation
•Experience with managing industrial agendas
•In depth understanding of industrial agreements
•Exposure to legislation and the CASA regulatory environment
•Experience with change management and business improvement in an operational environment
•Understanding of planning and operational processes
•Strong organisation skills, with a the ability to effectively prioritise
•Advanced written and verbal communication skills
