The Manager Logistics, Q Catering is responsible for managing Third and Fourth Party Logistic suppliers to both Qantas Customer Experience and Qantas Catering businesses requirements, including equipment suppliers to the airline.

You will work closely with these suppliers to ensure they meet required daily operational performance targets.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Working collaboratively with 4 PL providers to drive performance and lead strategic change
Leading and driving cross functional groups to achieve operational objectives – including the Weekly Operations meeting (including LCR and menu releases) and the Weekly Equipment call
Implementing formal business improvement and change initiatives, using collaborative problem identification and resolution
Developing, implementing and managing contingency plans for potential and planned service and product delivery failures to mitigate customer impact
Developing supply chain strategies for new product to meet business requirements
Driving collaboration through systems and processes with internal and external customers to avert delays and other service and product related failures
Identifying opportunities to improve roster efficiencies and labour utilisation, and implementing changes as appropriate.

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

Extensive experience in supplier performance management
Proven ability to form and manage working relationships with both internal and external parties
Proven ability in project management
Demonstrated people and leadership skills
Intermediate level literacy with Microsoft Office suite
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality
Highest standards of personal presentation and professional conduct
Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement philosophy
Commercially focused with the ability to correctly assess the impact of decisions on business outcomes
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
