The Contract Manager, Q Catering is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the process of supplier relationship management for Q Catering`s key suppliers. You will work collaboratively with the supplier to improve performance and find more efficient ways of working to embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

This role undertakes and supports complex and sensitive contract negotiations for additional or alternate products or services with existing suppliers and defines parameters and monitors and tracks contract performance for current and new initiatives against contract measures and any additional reporting requirements.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Identifying key suppliers to be managed through a structured SRM approach
Establishing and implementing a framework for effective supplier relationship management
Implementing a structured approach with each key supplier to ensure Q Catering can be a customer of choice
Providing objective analysis of current or potential underperformance issues or risks, with proposed remediation strategy
Attending supplier audits with the Quality Assurance team members to evaluate supplier food safety and quality controls to Qantas standards
Proactively and regularly engaging with customers and stakeholders to identify and resolve actual or potential service failures or changing delivery requirements or expectations
Proactively identifying and implementing activities that will improve customer satisfaction and bring about transformational savings and process efficiencies as well as innovation to ensure Q catering remains competitive
Proactively developing and enhancing customer satisfaction initiatives
Conducting regular supplier meetings to provide feedback on performance against agreed standards and contractual commitments, and providing feedback on opportunities for improvements with solutions
Resolving discrepancies and invoice queries in relation to contractual arrangements in place with suppliers
Promoting supplier compliance and ensuring suppliers are HSE approved if on Qantas sites
Identifying opportunities to rationalise suppliers and streamline products by expanding existing contracts nationally.

Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:

Proven experience in and understanding of the administration and construction of contracts including tax, insurance, legal and treasury principles
Ability to negotiate and draft contracts
End-to-end contract development project management experience
Supplier contract development experience within a food or manufacturing environment
Demonstrated commercial acumen with knowledge of legal and risk implications in supply contract development and execution
Proven experience in supplier relationship development
Experience and understanding of integrated ERP and MS and CRD applications
Proven abilities in business communication, analysis, evaluation and report writing.
