Location : Boston, Massachusetts
Reports To : Cargo Manager, Northeast USA
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement and monitor of the cargo servicing plan, including the supervision of customer service, and the operation of the handling agents, report performance and status, qualitatively and quantitatively.
· Develop forecasts of future service and manpower needs, standardize and implement of procedures.
· Implement operations plans to optimize booking for space and weight utilization of the aircraft.
· Interface with various airport authorities, and local and government agencies.
· Ensure all HVY cargo, Live Animals, Perishables and other HIGH yielding cargos are being handled according to company standards.
· Facilitate monthly supplier meetings to resolve service delivery issues and look for areas of improvement as well as “Cost Reduction”.
· Perform the function of CX Accident Coordinator for BOS during an E&A incident as well as to ensure all service providers and airport officials are up to speed with our policies and procedures to this regards.
· Coordinate and arrange all necessary training for CTO/RHO as well as CX customer service staff to ensure we are in compliance with CX and Government regulations where needed.
· Manage to CX KPI Standards as well as ensuring our suppliers are meeting or exceeding our targets.
· Assist Sales & Marketing team to ensure BOS meets and/or exceeds the 70% e-AWB acceptance target.
· Coordinate with JFK/EWR for space allotment if requested.
· Manage our ULD inventory to the port allocation.
· Assist with on forwarding of import cargos that may require trucking to the hinterland.
· Develop and manage a Cargo Sales & Service Agent.
Requirements:
Qualifications/Experience:
· Minimum 2-3 years cargo operations, sales and customer service supervisory/management experience.
· In-depth communication, management and demonstrated leadership ability.
· Proven success records in setting and achieving goals.
· Excellent decision making & administrative skills.
· Good planning & organizational skills.
· Sound knowledge in air cargo warehousing operations.
· Sound knowledge in B747 freighter
· Sound knowledge of TSA safety and security requirements
· Knowledge of air cargo computer/AIRIMP system
· Knowledge of air cargo build-up
· Knowledge of air cargo tariff and TACT Rules
· Knowledge of air cargo Dangerous Goods acceptance preferred
· Familiar with aircraft weight & balance procedures preferred
· Shift duties required.
· Must possess a valid MA Driver License with good driving records to operate a company vehicle.
