Description:

Reports To: Project Practice Manager

Department:Information Management (IMT)

To lead and support one or more of the streams in the Enterprise Programme Management Office (EPMO), covering Program and Project Practice, IT Finance, IT Resourcing and IT Reporting & Tools to drive quality IT delivery, to support project and programme managers and to manage PMO Analysts.

Responsibilities:

Act as a reference point for PMO queries and information and be an advocate for best practices in project management, portfolio management, finance, resource, tools and governance.
Develop positive relationships with managers and staff to enable the EPMO to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting.
Lead and support an EPMO area.
Periodical review of project and/or EPMO artefacts.
Develop, enhance and monitor corporate methodologies ensuring that a streamlined process exists, and provides evidence, that all corporate processes are implemented and successfully delivered to meet standards and requirements.
Evaluate the applications and/or workflow process and provide recommendations to management on process improvements.
Programme & Project Practice specific responsibilities:

Support and improve programme-level, project and PMO methodologies for the effective development, maintenance and governance of the IT project delivery lifecycle (PDLC).
Support and improve the Project Practice and its standards, templates and procedures.
Execute project quality management planning, project health checks and lessons learned.
Ensure that new and existing employees, contractors, and vendors have the necessary skills to employ the defined project delivery methods, utilise the specified standards and toolsets.
Collaborate with other EPMO Leads to support holistic view across portfolio & governance, practice resourcing, finance and reporting for IT.

Requirements:

Job Requirements :

Relevant degrees and/or experience in IT, Engineering or Business
Minimum 8 years of IT experience with at least 2 years in a similar role.
Experience in managing IT projects and/or working in a PMO, budget and financial tracking and issue resolution.
Possess strong understanding of project management concepts and experience with project management software tools and Excel.
Professional project management certification would be an advantage (eg PMP, APMP, PRINCE2).
Strong analysis and reporting skills in producing reports, documentation and presentations. Strong communication skill to all levels in the organisation and agility to work within a team environment.
