Cathay Pacific’s world class service connects North America with Greater China and the Asia Pacific region with more than 15 flights a day from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, New York, Vancouver and Toronto. We are now looking for a data driven salesperson to be part of our Global Account team, dedicated to growing incremental passenger revenue through direct sales to corporations, supporting our objective to be the airline of choice for corporate customers.

This position will actively manage a wide portfolio of global accounts based predominantly on the West Coast of USA and Canada, as well as focusing on winning and growing new business. The position reports into the Corporate Sales Manager (Global) in our head office in Hong Kong. Based in our San Francisco office, the position will also support local sales teams working on local corporate deals and ensure best practice is used across the region.


Key Responsibilities:
· Managing a portfolio of global corporate accounts - ensuring sales targets are met while maintaining strong working relationships with key decision makers.
· Leading regular performance reviews with global corporate customers.
· Ensuring all sales activities are tracked using salesforce.com.
· Analyzing trends and formulating sales and negotiation strategies.
· Leading complex negotiations for new deals or renewals.
· Regular reviews with assigned local teams, exchanging best practice, coaching and developing the sales teams in Cathay’s Corporate Sales processes and influencing local teams in relation to strategic global opportunities.
· Liaising with counterparts at oneworld to manage alliance opportunities.
· Working closely with and developing the skills of Corporate Sales Coordinators in Hong Kong and the US.
· Providing support to the Corporate Sales Manager and carrying out any other relevant duties which may be required.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Experience:
· A degree in a business-related discipline, with minimum 5 years of airline commercial/sales experience.
· Highly numerate, analytical and data driven.
· Proven commercial acumen – a track record of outstanding results
· Communication and interpersonal skills – ability to influence internal stakeholders as well as external clients.
· Self motivated with the ability to work in teams and independently.
· Ability to work under pressure to tight timelines.
· Proficiency in using salesforce.com and/or PRISM preferred.
· Frequent travelling required, both nationally and internationally
· Must be willing to work flexible hours – including scheduled calls with Hong Kong head office in evenings US time.
