Airlines - Ground Staff

Reports To : Duty Manager, Load Control





Key Responsibilities:

· To distribute loads of cargo aircraft according to safety regulations, gravity parameters,

special requirements, unloading accessibility and other restrictions.

· To calculate aircraft weight & balance and prepare loading instruction for Americas outports.

· To monitor the flight status consistently.

· To complete the loadsheet and check against loading report.

· To deliver in-flight related document to aircraft timely.

· To ensure all documents pertaining to load planning presented to the crew are correct.

· To attend training sessions as and when required.

· To complete other assignment allocated by his / her superior.

· Implement operations plans to optimize load control handling for the Americas

· Interface with Port Cargo Managers and staff to ensure proper handling of the load control functions

· Ensure proper communication between CLC and the RCO on ramp activities to ensure the aircraft is being handled in accordance to the CX SOP and all safety procedures are being followed.

· Serve as Regional Super Heavy and Heavy Load Coordinator

· Ensure all HVY cargo, Live Animals, Perishables and other HIGH yielding cargos are being handled according to company standards.

· Complete daily flight performance assessment reports to ensure established service levels are met and followed.

· Serve as CLC Lead during the assigned shift to mentor other staff and assist them with any questions

· May assist the CLC Supervisor to perform quarterly departmental audits to ensure full compliance to SOPs and Company Regulations

· Supports, along with the Supervisor, the training needs for CLC as needed, including completion of OJT reports

· Conduct briefings for CLC team re special lifts and/or new policies and procedures

· File e-reports as needed

Requirements:

Qualifications/Experience:

· Minimum 3 years cargo operations, with focus on Load Control

· Minimum 1 year Lead or Supervisory Experience in Cargo Related area

· Good planning & organizational skills.

· Sound knowledge in air cargo warehousing operations.

· Sound knowledge in B747 freighter

· Sound knowledge of TSA safety and security requirements

· Knowledge of air cargo computer/AIRIMP system

· Knowledge of air cargo build-up

· Knowledge of air cargo Dangerous Goods acceptance preferred

· Familiar with aircraft weight & balance procedures

· Shift duties required.

· Must possess a valid CA Driver License with good driving records to operate a company vehicle.
