The Information Technology Department of Cathay Pacific is looking for Business Analyst Lead to work on Crew Management Programme to contribute to the delivery of a major change initiative, comprising both business and technology streams of work, for all crew of CX, KA and AHK.



The programme addresses the end-to-end processes and technologies supporting crew management from pre-rostering, rostering, day of operations and post operations.



The main function of this role is to ensure that requirements are elicited in collaboration with business stakeholders to a level that enables all IT teams to deliver quality products that are aligned with business vision and meet the stated business benefits. In addition, to foster excellence in business analysis resources by guiding methodology/training and providing mentorship to business analysts.



Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage internal & external business analysis resources for a major programme
Ensure requirements of the programme meet the business & company objectives
Requirements elicitation and modelling including business process mapping, use cases and scenarios
Work in conjunction with key business and IT resources to identify gaps between requirements and potential solutions
Drive business units to reach a consensus on solution approaches for identified gaps
Identify, assess and document the impact of business process changes within people, systems, and operations
Identify and document constraints, assumptions and risks associated with business requirements
Critically analyse business requirements and business processes, and challenge business units on assumptions to improve overall programme delivery
Ensure ownership and traceability of business requirements through the project life cycle
Engage with business stakeholders through the project lifecycle with clear & timely communications to ensure that requirements are delivered with common understanding
Instrumental in providing specific guidance & mentorship on business analysis and business process methodologies, techniques & skill set for business analysis resources
Point of contact for BA’s for quality assurance, technical questions and skill uplift
Lead quality review of BA’s deliverables
Collaborate with project teams and other Solution Centres as required
Focused job responsibility to educate/mentor business analysts to improve overall competency

Requirements:

Requirements:
Degree holder in Information Technology, Business or related area
Possess 8 years of related IT experience
Strong background in business analysis and/or business process analysis, including experience in business process modelling and knowledge of business process modelling approaches and standards
BABOK Certification or industry recognised training would be an advantage
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proven leadership capability, adaptability and innovative thinking
Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse group of stakeholders
Experience in business process improvement initiatives, Lean or Six Sigma is beneficial
Experience in large programmes is beneficial
Crew Management knowledge or experience is beneficial
