Qatar Airways Cargo is looking for a Senior Regional Cargo Manager to join our team based in Singapore. As Senior Regional Cargo Manager you will be responsible for leading the overall management of Qatar Airways Cargo Sales and Operations for South Asia (Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and any new station within the region), ensuring stable revenue and providing a professional and quality service. You will lead a team of sales and operations specialists and be responsible for their performance and development. You will have knowledge of the Asia Pacific Cargo market and have existing relationships in this region.
Role and Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities:

Strategise, plan and execute growth of Cargo sales and operations within South Asia in line with overall airline growth, while achieving and maintaining the highest possible service levels for all customers.
Study, prepare and propose new business plans for promoting Qatar Airways Cargo to contribute to revenue generation by understanding the market/customer needs and monitoring the competitors.
Define strategy to establish/increase base-loads on each flight and develop new customer base
Economically plan and execute business development strategies.
Manages the regional annual budget planning and monitoring for revenue, operating cost, capital expenditure. Sets up and pursues annual business targets and profitability.
Oversee GSA and GHA functions and supervise GSA and GHA staff/ management as and when required to ensure smooth, safe and secure operations with strict adherence & compliance to all applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with employees and clients of the regions to ensure fulfilment of performance requirements.
Identify any organizational gaps and develop plan to fill gaps. Identify development path for members of organisation
Steer, lead and direct the cargo teams (internal and GSAs) for optimum performance
Manage the regional organization and team against a clear revenue and tonnage targets.
Effective performance management and motivation of team and attend to recruitment as required in the regions
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.


Experience and Skills:

Executive Management - minimum 10 years of job-related experience required
5 years in a managerial role with regional responsibility
Good knowledge of airline cargo products and needs of the forwarding industry
Budgetary and planning experience
Extensive direct and indirect people

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferably in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration

MBA or equivalent advantageous
