Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Project Leader - Network Strategy position.
Manage Delta's In-Service Fleet Plan, which includes a daily accounting of the entire mainline and regional fleet at a sub-fleet level. Serve as primary liaison between Network and Operation on long-term fleet decisions. Lead fleet reviews with TechOps, OCC, Delta Connection, and Fleet Transactions. Influence fleet decisions that support Network's long-term vision for hub and focus city development. Produce detailed communication documents for Senior Leadership and Network scheduling department. Manage airport authority landing weight requests. Collaborate with DL's corporate real estate department on future facility needs. Verify and document ALPA Scope Clause compliance. Develop future capacity models with flexibility to forecast different fleet scenarios; feeds Corporate Five Year Plan. Assist in annual Business Plan development. Perform ad-hoc analyses related to fleet decisions (e.g. evaluate economic benefit of more ETOPS 757's). Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree plus five years of experiences required or a Master's degree plus three years of experience is preferred with a major in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business, Management or Engineering. Must have very strong analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel as well as airline experience and knowledge of the industry is valuable. Should have the ability to work well with others in a time-sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision. Should be results oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow through.
