Thank you for your interest in the Regional Marketing Manager - APAC Division. This position can be either a local hire, Third Country National (TCN) or Expatriate and will be located in Tokyo, Japan - TYO.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Marketing Manager for APAC will oversee Regional Brand Communications and Delta's brand advertising campaigns in key APAC priority markets across multiple channels including digital, TV, print, OOH and non-traditional. In addition to advertising, this manager will also be responsible for sponsorships & brand activation, community affairs, promotions, customer events, PR activities, all B2B sales support and collateral, in-country e-commerce strategy to include social, CRM and Delta.com support.
This leadership role entails the ability to properly translate creatively the company strategy, execute plans on budget, on time, and with maximum impact against core target audience and objectives, measuring results and using data to inform future work.
Implement initiatives to improve Delta brand presence by identifying and managing multi-channel and multi-media communications, sponsorships and activations.
This individual must excel in managing multiple agency partners and align work with functional areas across the company including the regional matrix group and develop both strategic and tactical plans.
Ability to communicate strategic thinking to senior leadership and provide strategic insight and influence to the US POS for international markets is key.
Build relationships globally and working across divisional teams, and be the key marketing contact and resource for various commercial, sales and business leadership teams, Network & RM.
Establish closing working relationships with any JV or airline partners in region (China Eastern, Virgin Australia etc...).
Manage staff of highly performing Marketing Specialists to include mentoring, coaching, training and performance evaluations.
Regular tracking, measuring and reporting of key projects in partnership with CIA team to use data to inform future work.
Min of 5+ years' experience with advertising in creative and media sides is required.
Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
'Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing, business, advertising, or communications. MBA or Master's degree with emphasis in marketing a plus.
Successful candidate must possess marketing experience (min 5+ years) in a combination of advertising, media planning/buying, brand management, and/or promotional sponsorship marketing.
Min of 5+ years' experience with advertising in creative and media sides is required.
Must demonstrate experience in developing and implementing advertising and media plans across all traditional advertising and non-traditional channels.
Must possess significant, demonstrated experience at employing diplomacy skills to gain consensus among non-reporting and matrix divisions.
Should have strong leadership, analytical, organizational and negotiating skills.
Candidate should possess a proven ability to communicate effectively with high levels of an organization, including director, and vice president and matrix leaders.
Strategic planning capabilities essential.
Candidate must possess strong financial acumen.
Experience managing large operating budgets required.
Travel required 50%+.
Proficient in additional languages a plus.
