Description:
Due to the on-going growth of Emirates Airline, there is a requirement for Ground Instructor positions within Flight Training. Successful applicants will join Emirates Flight Training as SFIs and can look forward to a fulfilling and satisfying career within Flight Training. Through professional development and annual standardisation courses, you can expect to be trained and developed to ensure you meet the exacting standards required by Emirates. Reporting to the Training Manager the SFI will be responsible for conducting training relevant to their training qualification as required by the GCAA and the Company. Key Responsibilities Conduct transition and recurrent training, ground school lectures, briefings and de-briefings. Conduct Fixed Base and Full Flight Simulator transition training. Complete accurate detailed reports or assessments of pilots under instruction. Recommending additional or remedial training for any pilot who is not progressing at an acceptable rate. Develop course material in the specialist subject as requested in accordance with regulations. Conduct other duties as required by the Training Management. Eligible SFI candidates will have the opportunity to upgrade to SFE based on Company requirements.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
3+ yrs previous Instructional experience as a SFI or as a TRE/TRI
Have at least 1500 hours flying experience as a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft
Have completed an ICAO approved TRI course or equivalent
Have previously conducted flight crew training in a simulator environment
This role has been designated as a Safety Sensitive Position i.e. a position which involves activities where, because of risk to the individuals concerned or to others, the employee needs full, unimpaired control of their physical and mental capabilities. It will therefore be necessary for the provisionally selected candidate (if not working in a current safety sensitive position) to undergo a medical check- up with our Emirates Clinic for a fit to work evaluation, prior to a decision being taken to select.There is no action to be taken at this stage, this is only for information.
