Description:

Purpose
This role represents the interests of Air Arabia in China for the purpose of increasing the Company’s market share and developing new opportunities.

Key Accountabilities
•Leads the drive for sales for Air Arabia in China.
•Oversees operational activities of Air Arabia in China.
•Negotiates and acquires traffic rights and airport slots within China.
•Develops and maintains relationships with government ministries, tourism departments and other government or semi-government agencies.
•Develops and maintains relationships with key individuals in civil aviation authorities, ensuring strict compliance in all Air Arabia activities with their policies and regulations.
•Inspires and motivates General Sales Agents and others engaged in sales activities in the region to achieve outstanding sales performance. Initiates and drives sales campaigns for China.
•Analyses sales performance for China, providing feedback to the Regional Manager identifying areas for concern and take appropriate measures to address concerns.
•Monitors the performance of General Sales Agents in the region, quickly identifying areas where sales targets are not being achieved, conducting analysis, determining the root cause and taking prompt corrective action.
•Identifies new opportunities for sales, new markets and agents in China. In particular, identifying the unique needs of China, which maybe met by Air Arabia products and services. Produces recommendations based on cost/benefit analysis.
•Recruits and selects staff in new areas, helps establish the office and monitors its operation. Selects travel agents based on established criteria.
•Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with the Department Heads so as to ensure support, assistance and advice in managing financial, human resources, engineering, purchasing and IT issues for China.
•Handle contracts with Tour Operators and review the same periodically.
•Co-ordinate with marketing & PR to ensure High Brand visibility.

Note – The role defined here is not exhaustive and duties and responsibilities in line with the job function may be added from time to time.

Key Performance Measures
•The route performance of China / Sharjah route.
•The performance of General Sales Agents and Sales Agents in China.
•Performance against KPI’s for sales i.e. target load and yield, increase in distribution, analyzing and conducting marketing activities to increase brand awareness.
•The motivation, development and general performance of managers and staff of the offices in China.

Requirements:

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
•Qualifications and Experience:

- Essential -Bachelor’s degree and some management experience, incl. several years as a sales manager. Experience in an airline industry in sales or marketing is desirable.
