Job Information

We have an opening for an experienced Stores Person with good working knowledge of a busy stores environment. You will be responsible for all aspects of day to day stock requirements with focus on efficiency and accuracy and a self-motivated approach to the role.



Main Responsibilities include:
◾Physically issuing stock and dispatching items in a timely manner, including any repairs, inter-base transfers, returns and sales.
◾Clearing Receipts on a daily basis and managing items in transit
◾Order processing including weekly resupplies
◾Recording all transactions and reviewing work packs to ensure all items are accurately booked from stock
◾Conducting weekly cycle counts and periodic stock counts for other bases
◾Managing tooling ie, issued items and calibration requirements



Stock management will include:
◾Accurate accountability for all stock, stock maintenance, rotation and husbandry
◾Daily Maintenance of the consumable contract
◾Reviewing , maintaining and disposal of expired COSHH and shelf life items in accordance with current regulations
◾Stock holding, ordering and allocation of PPE in accordance with Company Policy.
◾Keeping the Glasgow warehouse tidy and any ad hoc duties as required by the Stores Manager, Logistics Manager or Scotland Engineering Manager

Requirements:

Skills and Experience:
◾Driving licence and Passport a necessity
◾At least 1-2 years’ previous experience of working within a busy stores/warehouse environment
◾Willingness to hand carry parts if required
◾Ability to follow instructions efficiently and accurately with a professional manner
◾Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
◾Willingness to use or already have forklift licence
◾Understanding of an Aviation MRO environment
◾Ability to use Microsoft Excel (basic)
◾Flexibility in supporting the business and the willingness to work some evenings and weekends



This is a full-time, 40 hours per week role between the hours of 8.00/8.30 and 17.00/17.30
