Description:

The candidate will be required to provide management support to Safety Security & Environment (SSE) Department in administering and overseeing the compliance with Fire Safety legislation to ensure that corporate policy on Fire Safety and industry best practices are implemented.



Key Responsibilities:
•Carry out Fire Safety Manager’s (FSM) duties
•Oversee the compliance of fire safety measures in Company premises (SIA Airline House including the hangar and workshops, SIA Supplies Centre, SIA offices in Changi Airport Passenger Terminals, ION Orchard, United Square, Tampines Point, etc.)
•Formulate plans for Emergency Response in SIA premises and organise emergency exercises for its occupants
•Provide support to business units in meeting the requirements of fire safety and emergency preparedness as required for Safety Mangement System and Environment Management System
•Advise management and business units of any new fire safety requirements issued by the SCDF and authorities and assist in the necessary implementation
•Liase with SCDF and authorities on fire safety matters
•Investigate into fire occurrence and fire safety matters
•Carry our fire safety assessment of crew hotels and overseas offices
•Support property loss control assessments and surveys of SIA premises

Requirements:

Required Skills
The candidate must:


1.Possess a good University Degree in Engineering or post graduate qualification in Environment Health & Safety Management and hold a Certificate of Fire Safety acceptable to the Commissioner of Singapore Civil Defence Force
2.Have at least 3 years working experience in a junior management position as a Fire Safety manager
3.Should possess emotional maturity and passion for EHS works as well as good people relationship and communication skills
