Overview
The Chelsea Food Services Training Clerk assists the facility with all related employee training including the organization and administration of all classes for the newly hired and current employees. This position is responsible for maintaining the applicable Learning Management System databases to ensure training record compliance.
Responsibilities
Supports the facilitation of all local and divisional training initiatives including safety, regulatory classes and new employee orientation
Maintains and updates the company's Learning Management System database(s) to ensure accurate training records
Coordinate, establish and communicate the training room scheduling calendar
Ensure proper classroom set up, maintaining room appearance and inventory of training materials
Partner with local station and Human Resources on providing a positive training experience
Assists as needed with new hire employee onboarding which may include preparing and processing Airport badge and U.S. Customs documentation/applications
Performs other Training and Human Resources duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Knowledge/Skills
Ability to engage employees in a classroom environment providing a positive learning experience
Effective training presentation skills through the use of Power Point, written material and/or hands-on demonstration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to interact with multiple levels of management and frontline employees on Human Resources issues, concerns and initiatives required
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including a working knowledge of Word, Power Point and strong Excel skills required
Experience
1 – 3 years’ of experience in training and instructor/facilitator field required
Previous experience in record keeping and maintaining a Learning Management System database
Experience in regulatory training as related to food services i.e. FDA, OSHA preferred
Previous experience in a Human Resources role preferred

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Normal work schedule is Monday - Friday; alternate work schedule may include nights and/or weekends required
Food Services facility on Human Resources issues and initiatives (approximately 25%); travel required
Position is based in Houston, Tx and does not provide for relocation assistance
