Responsibilities:
The QA Operations Analyst will report to the Manager of Quality Assurance, ultimately supporting the Director of Operations and Flight Operations. The QA Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting projects within QA including Operational Risk Management, Training and Procedure Validations, and will provide analytics to support Operations and Flight Operations by collecting and analyzing data.
WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:
Develops/deploys data collection and analysis protocols to support quality assurance analysis of line flight operations, training programs, and operational procedures.
Conducts routine and special analysis of flight operations data (Flight Data Analysis Program data, Aviation Safety Action Program data, Southwest Operations Irregularity Report data) for the purpose of developing periodic quality assurance reports to Flight Operations Leadership on the status of line flight operations from a safety and efficiency perspective Develops and deploys data collection protocols to administer a trend analysis program for proficiency training and proficiency checkrides.
Assists in the administration of a Line Oriented Safety Audit (LOSA) program .
Assists in the development and execution of initial and operational testing programs to support quality assurance special projects.
Supports QA Team in the following projects: Integrated Data Collection Analysis Tool (IDCAT), Tableau, AQP, Air Transportation Oversight System (ATOS), Flight Operations Saftety, Standards Team Support, Training Support, Testing Support, Operational Risk Management, and Flight Operations Project Management Tool.
Edits and proof reads Articles and all QA Reports.
Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Operations Research/Analysis, Engineering or equivalent major preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years of experience with data collection systems/protocols preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience using operations analysis methodologies preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with initial, operational, and developmental testing methodologies preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with statistical analysis preferred.
Experience with database programs preferred.
Knowledge of airline operations preferred.
Knowledge of aircraft pilot procedures required.
Experience working with Microsoft Excel including the use of pivot tables and advanced formulas preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
