Description:
FUNCTION: This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Sales. The Account Executive, Corporate Sales is responsible for selling, growing, retaining and maintaining Porter market share in an assigned and defined territory through the development of revenue channels with targeted and existing clientele.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sell, grow, maintain and adjust sales strategies by segment in order to grow and maximize Porter Airlines load factors and profit
With the support of the broader sales team, implement process improvement, training, communication, change management tools and support mechanisms necessary to effectively increase Porter load factors and profit
Lead, implement and manage account planning process for all strategic and key accounts in the territory
Ensure pipeline reporting, strategies, policies and procedures are in compliance with strategic direction as determined by the Senior Manager, Corporate Sales
Under the guidance and approval of the Senior Manager, Corporate Sales, co-develop sales targets, account growth targets and budget requirements
Maintain face to face relationships with strategic and key accounts
Maintain market competitive intelligence to continually refine offer and to provide the Senior Manager, Corporate Sales with appropriate analysis/in-sights to mitigate overall risk areas, revenue management, marketing, call-center, agency services departments to enhance management decisions
Collaborate closely with the other sales functional areas, revenue management, marketing, and call-center departments to enhance management decisions
Participate in applicable industry events representing Porter
Business travel may be required from time to time
Maintain strict adherence to Porter Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
Any other duties as required by the Senior Manager, Corporate Sales and Vice President, Agency and Corporate Sales
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors in Business Administration or other related degree
A minimum of 4 years of industry relevant and/or strategic sales expertise
People and budget management expertise
Goals, objectives and measurement oriented
Field-based self-starting attitude with strong communication skills
Working knowledge of CRM tools
Knowledge of airline, travel agency sales, account management and industry relations practices
Knowledge of client travel program optimization methodologies, measurement, training, change management, marketing channels to enhance Porter offerings, sales force effectiveness and tool development
SABRE and other GDS and non-GDS distribution systems knowledge
Working knowledge of third-party and agency proprietary on-line booking tools
Navitaire "Newskies" system knowledge and asset
Working knowledge of all forms of payment used by agencies and corporate accounts
Eligible to work in US
