Description:

The Country/Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and management of sales and marketing activities and any remaining services (where applicable) in his/her designated country / ies or region for Lufthansa / Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture.

Where applicable, she/he is the representative of Lufthansa / Lufthansa Group in the country / ies or region and develops and maintains relationships with the relevant stake holders.

In close collaboration with the regional GP units the Country/Regional Sales Manager exploits the revenue potential from the new business segment, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and account managed customers and travel agents. She/he leads the team to drive awareness and position Lufthansa / Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture, where applicable, optimally in line with strategic initiatives.

Business Development:

Establish, execute and follow-up annual sales strategy and objectives in line with the assigned budget for Lufthansa / Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture
Identify revenue/cost opportunities in cooperation with regional GP units and develop appropriate measures to exploit these opportunities in all relevant segments
Assess account developments (in terms of customer behavior, competitor activities, tools, technology and trends), evaluate and derive appropriate measures

Steering and monitoring:

Responsible for negotiation and approval of agent and corporate customer contracts
Coordinate Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture partner topics with relevant interfaces and local execution of commercial requirements
Steer sales promotion activities based on defined action plans
Continuous performance monitoring against set targets and derive appropriate actions
Close coordination and market specific reporting for regional/area units

Representation and information:

Represent Lufthansa / Lufthansa Group carriers within her/his assigned country / ies or region (where applicable)
Act as spokesperson towards media for Lufthansa / Lufthansa Group (where applicable)
Ensure internal flow of information and cooperation with relevant interfaces
Participate in other duties as assigned

People Management:

Select, lead, guide and motivate his/her team
Personnel planning in accordance with target agreement and budget allowance
Develop the team and foster talent by applying the available performance management tools

Requirements:

Your profile

High school certificate, A level/ Abitur or equivalent required
Bachelor Degree required
Master Degree desirable
Professional experience required (Airline or Travel Industry knowledge of more than 3 years required)
Valid driver's license required
Fluent English and Turkish language skills are required, other foreign languages as desirable
Expert Knowledge required
Good Computer Skills
Valid working permission for Turkey required (Turkish Citizen or holder of a "Mavi Kart")
