Responsibilities:
WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:
Develops and maintains a strategy of effective benefits communication to drive Employee behavior and reinforce the value of benefits.
Coordination of all communication efforts among various departments and within all aspects of benefits and compensation.
Communication of all major benefit initiatives (i.e. Annual Enrollment and Wellness programs, as well as Retirement).
Research and evaluate the most appropriate tools to help educate Employees on their benefit options and in helping them become smart health care consumers.
Gathers data (via data aggregator, vendors and benchmarking) to identify issues and create targeted communications. Use innovative approaches to garner attention and engagement of all Employees of all workgroups to recognize the value of their benefits and learn to use them wisely.
Identifies and implements programs, processes, and measurements in the areas of Benefits and Compensation to achieve departmental objectives.
Manages communication projects which involve constituents of various departments.
Assists Business Leaders in the selection of vendors.
Supports collective bargaining efforts by providing subject matter expertise and analysis to negotiators with respect to Benefits and Compensation, as assigned.
Provides analytical expertise to Benefits and Compensation including trend analysis and the development of premium rates and reporting methodologies.
Summarizes data and effectively communicates the results both on an aggregate and individual basis (i.e. total rewards statement).
Participates in the development of Benefits strategy and Benefit plan design, as assigned.
Prepares and presents executive presentations.
Responds to ad hoc project requests.
Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.
Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree required.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
5+ years’ experience working in Benefits and/or Communications and at least an intermediate level of expertise in Excel and Power Point required.
Experience presenting effectively at all levels including Executive and to large audiences required.
2 years project management experience preferred.
Experience in evaluating RFPs preferred.
Background or experience with 401k, profit sharing and retirement benefits is preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint.
Must have the flexibility to work extended hours and / or weekends to meet deadlines on an as needed basis.
Must be able to work well with others as part of a team, meet the public at all levels, represent the company and department and have the ability to perform under pressure.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must possess excellent organization skills.
Must be customer service oriented and have judgment sufficient to handle and resolve problems and inquirieis.
Occasional travel required.
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information.
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
