Description:
This role is responsible to manage and have a complete control of the airworthiness functions related to the Certificate of Airworthiness renewal process of the assigned Air Arabia fleet.
Main Responsibilities
• Responsible for compliance with procedures which are required to ensure airworthy aircraft.
• Responsible for managing complete aircraft physical surveys and complete aircraft historical records review (log books, modification records, Airworthiness Directives, Damage assessment, Life limited components, mandatory placards and markings etc.) for the Airworthiness Review Certificate renewal on assigned fleet.
• Responsible for identifying deficiencies observed during aircraft physical inspection and document review and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
• Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of checklists for aircraft physical surveys and document review as required by CAR M.
• Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of procedures related to Continuing Airworthiness as required by CAR M.
• Responsible in assisting the Manager Quality Assurance in developing and implementation of CAR M Subpart I related procedures in to the company Technical Procedures Manual (TPM).
• Responsible for ARC validity and renewals including necessary endorsement by GCAA.
• Liaises with GCAA on Airworthiness Review Certificate issue, renewals and recommendations on behalf of the Manager Quality Assurance. This includes organizing regular meetings with the GCAA to provide updates and feedback on each assigned aircraft where necessary.
• Ensure comprehensive technical reports related to the Airworthiness Review Certificate inspections are produced and inform Manager Quality Assurance and CAR M PH of adverse trends or areas requiring urgent attention and improvement that may compromise safety and aircraft operation.
• Develop, monitor and manage aircraft audits and ramp inspections on non-assigned fleets to meet annual audit plan. Raise non-conformance reports, review root cause and assess preventive actions and final acceptance of corrective actions.
• Evaluate, coordinate and carry-out projects that are deemed necessary by the Manager Quality Assurance to enhance the safety of the Operations / Technical departments to achieve set goals.
• Maintain necessary records related to ARC reviews.
• Ensure maintenance of personal experience log to demonstrate appropriate recent continuing airworthiness management experience.
• Accountable for decision making with regard to the fleet airworthiness review plan, schedule fulfillment for aircraft Continued Airworthiness. Ineffective corrective actions plan for non-compliances or in-accuracies in the Airworthiness Review could affect aircraft Airworthiness and possible aircraft safety.
Requirements:
Desired Profile
• At least five years‘ experience in continuing airworthiness; and
• An appropriate license in compliance with CAR 66 or an aeronautical degree or a national equivalent; and
• A formal aeronautical maintenance training; Approved by GCAA
