Description:
The Manager Marketing Strategy is responsible for translating Delta's core objectives including SkyMiles, Customer Experience, eCommerce, Revenue Management, Network, Alliances and Merchandising into actionable marketing communication plans across channels. The Manager will help define and maintain a future looking priority message calendar associated with key business objectives. Partner with advance analytics and revenue management to extract appropriate data and define target audience as well as most effective touch points to address opportunity at hand. Design connections planning map to define right message, at the right time at the right channel leveraging owned, earned and paid channels including advertising, sponsorships, Sky magazine, airport presence, direct marketing, social media etc.... Define measurement plan and set up appropriate tools to evaluate success. Partner with channel owners to execute plan defined by the connections planning process. Ensure execution is on track, collect results and present a cross channel view of plans to business owners. The Manager marketing strategy will be responsible for project managing efforts for Delta's focus cities in NY/SEA and will partner with VP and SVP's teams to support their goals. Will create a single channel of Communication with revenue management to ensure revenue needs are prioritized and marketing is proactively identifying opportunities to increase Delta's market share in desired routes leveraging owned and paid channels. A successful candidate must be comfortable around data quickly pulling insights from it. An understanding of communication channel capabilities is a must as well as ability to translate thoughts into executive level presentations. The Manager Marketing Strategy will manage a team of up to 3 Individual contributors. Travel required 15-20pct.
Requirements:
Successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and/or experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related discipline required and MBA or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Experience working with marketing agencies.
- Must be comfortable working on a fast pace environment managing multiple priorities at any given time
- Must be able to lead and work collaboratively and excel in a cross functional environment.
- Executive presence and understanding of a large corporate environment.
- Excellence in written and oral communications.
- Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
