FUNCTION: Reporting to the Maintenance Lead ACA on duty The Equipment and Furnishing Technician will be engaged in the overhaul and repair of all aircraft furnishing, fabric work (which include chairs, carpets, drapes and paneling) and fabrication parts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain, inspect, repair, replace interior condition and repairs for all Aircraft: cabin interior panels, cabin seats, cabin windows and side walls, carpets, wet floor, airstairs, lavatory, galley, cockpit seats, cockpit floors and interior cockpit decorative panels
The above includes replacement of components; touch up paint both internal and external of the aircraft
Responsibilities may also include maintaining survival and evacuation equipment
Utilizes schematic drawings and blueprints
Preparation of daily reports for work undertaken and parts and supplies required for forecasted service requirements
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
Other duties as required

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Mechanically inclined, experienced with sheet metal, painting, aircraft maintenance and the required tools to perform the job
Detail oriented
Minimum High School Graduate
Must be both self starter and team player
Able to communicate and correspond clearly and precisely in English
Able to obtain a Transport Canada Airport Restricted Area Pass
Knowledge in Canadian Aviation Regulations
Must be able to work shift hours if required
Must be physically capable to work in different positions and be able to lift or pull objects weighing more than 70 lbs
Dependable (must have a clear attendance record and reliable on time reporting for work)
